MUMBAI: Indian cricket team on Friday has left Mumbai for South Africa to participate in the ICC Champions Trophy.
Opening batsman Gautam Gambhir has come back in the team.
The Indian team won the three-nation tournament in Sri Lanka last week.
Captain Mahinder Singh Dhoni said before departing here that the morale of his players is high because the same team had won the Twenty20 World Cup two years ago.
He said that Gambhir’s comeback has made the team stronger.
Gambhir did not take part in the triangular series in Sri Lanka as he was injured.
India are included in Group A of the mega event along with defending champions Australia, Twenty20 champions Pakistan and the West Indies.
