PESHAWAR: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Tuesday said steps will be taken on war-footing for restoration of girls schools destroyed by the extremists in Swat.Talking to media after attending an informal meeting of NWFP cabinet, the Prime Minister said the constitutional committee will arrive at a decision regarding changing the name of NWFP.
The Prime Minister, on the occasion, termed the presence of ‘black water’ as baseless.
He said the committee formed to resolve Balochistan issue has presented its recommendations which have been approved by the President.
To a question, the Prime Minister clarified that he has cordial relations with President Asif Ali Zardari.
Regarding Malakand situation, the Premier said a development package of Rs2 billion will be initiated there.
“The forces will have to leave the area as military operation cannot provide complete solution of the problem,” he argued.
He said steps will be taken towards capacity building of the law enforcement agencies while number of police force will be doubled in Malakand.
The Prime Minister also performed inauguration of literacy centre of National Commission for Human Resource Development Program at the Chief Minister House.
