ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information Qamar Zaman Kaira Monday said the NRO beneficiaries are only facing charges and nothing has been so far proved against them in the court of law.
Talking to reporters here, the Information Minister termed the demand of resignations from the NRO beneficiaries as uncalled for.
He said Pakistan People’s Party has a clear stance on NRO and that in order to understand the necessity of this ordinance one will have to revisit the era of dictatorship.
Qamar Zaman Kaira said a case of terrorism was registered against him in 2007 which is still present. “I will face the court if summoned,” he added.
He said one will have to differentiate between charges and crimes and that nothing has so far been proved against the NRO beneficiaries
