MUZAFFARABAD: A bomb attack killed three security personnel and injured 11 others outside an army barracks in Pakistani-administered Kashmir on Wednesday, a police official said.The bomb exploded outside the barracks in Tarar Khal area of Rawla Kot, 150 kilometres (94 miles) east of Muzaffarabad, the capital of Pakistani-administered Kashmir and near the line of control with Indian-administered Kashmir.
"It was a bomb blast. It could be a suicide blast, but we are collecting the evidence," senior police official Irfan Masaood Kishvi told a French news agency by telephone from the nearby town of Pallandri.
The blast occurred at 0650am, injuring 14 people, of them, three succumbed injuries at the hospital.
"Three security personnel have been martyred and three wounded. The injured have been taken to the Combined Military Hospital," Kishvi added.
The security forces put security cordon around the area after the blast and stopped movement of all kinds.
Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Raja Farooq Hyder, reacting on the blast, said the attack on the Army in Azad Kashmir is unacceptable, adding the attackers are implementing the agenda put up by India.
Raja Farooq Hyder said the attackers are not human beings, instead they are mice, as they hide themselves after their activities; but, we will grab the responsible and will take them to task.
‘We will shoulder our responsibility and have a vigilant eye on the miscreants, adding he underscored the need to constitute the street committees to cope with the incidents of terrorism.
