KESC officer seeks protection against bosse

A mid-level officer of the Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC), who recently lodged a case at the Zaman Town Police Station against his bosses, has demanded that the government take action against his superiors who allegedly threatened and tortured him.

Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday at the Karachi Press Club, Mukhtar Ali said that he was threatened by his bosses at the KESC project development department when he refused orders of a personal nature. He said that he had earlier lodged an FIR at the Frere Police Station against his superiors for torturing him when he refused to obey their undue orders. After he had lodged the case, a conspiracy was hatched against him and a fabricated charge-sheet was served to him, Ali alleged. He appealed to the chief justice of Pakistan to order an inquiry into the matter.

He also called upon the president, the prime minister to ensure protection of his life amid threats to him by KESC officials.
