LAHORE: Following public complaints, the Inspector General Punjab (IGP) police on Wednesday have issued orders suspending DSP Security and In-charge Investigation of Shahidra police station, Geo news reported.
According to details, a delegation comprising doctors filed application to IGP, requesting action against DSP over misuse of power during compilation of an investigative report.
Meanwhile, inspector Zulfiqar Ahmed Cheema of Shaidra police station was suspended over charges of committing torture on a Lahore citizen Naveed Iqbal, sources said.
