LAHORE: The national hockey team on Saturday flew to France to partake World Cup qualifying round, Geo news reported.
According to details, 15-member Pakistan hockey team were looking confident and exited at Allama Iqbal airport before departure to France while three players Rehan Butt, Waseem Ahmed and Salman Akber will joint team members later following European League.
Coach national hockey team Shahid Ali Khan told Geo news, he was satisfied over preparations and vowed to give tough time to every team.
I am hopeful to win tournament but fear the weather conditions might cause up-sets in tournament, he added.
Our team ranking is commendable and will try put up good competition against Japan and France teams, he concluded.
